Esther Rots
Was born in 1972 in Groenlo, Netherlands. After studying at the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem, she enrolled at the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam in 1994.
She and her brother Hugo Rots founded the Rots Filmwerk BV production company in Amsterdam. Following three short films, Can Go Through Skin is her first feature-length film.
