At the 98th reunion, in Paris from 4 - 7 December, the direction committee for the Eurimages Fund of the Council of Europe accorded co-production aid to 14 features with a total of 4.492.145 euros. Created in 1988 to help co-production, distribution exhibition of European works, Eurimages currently includes 32 Member States.

Among those awarded, the French-German co-production Un secret marks the return behind the camera of Claude Miller, also president of Europa Cinemas, two years after La Petite Lili (Cannes selection in 2003). Also back is the veteran Alain Resnais with Petites peurs partagées, co-produced by the French company Soudaine Compagnie and Italian Achab Films. Six other French co-productions (2 majorities and 4 minorities) received Eurimages help, while 5 German co-productions, among them Verliebt in eine Leiche co-directed by Markus Stein and Milan Puzic. The big budget film from Juraj Jakubisko (read the news) was given 650.000 euros.
