The non-competition section of large-scale premieres will roll out its red carpet for leading actress Cate Blanchett in the highly anticipated follow-up to Elizabeth (1998), in which she will once again play the Queen of England. The Australian actress will be flanked by Clive Owen, who plays a pirate who helps her save herself.
Produced by Working Title with Studio Canal, the film will be released in Italy after the RomeFilmFest, on November 2, by Universal, which calls it one of its “outsider” films of the coming season, along with Joe Wright’s Atonement [+see also:
