FIPRESCI awards Mundruczó Delta
The FIPRESCI jury of international critics of the Cannes Film Festival presented its award this year to Kornél Mundruczó’s Hungarian film Delta [trailer, film focus], selected in official competition (see article).

The Un Certain Regard winner is is Hunger [trailer, film focus] by UK filmmaker Steve McQueen (see news). Eldorado [trailer] by Belgium’s Bouli Lanners was chosen from the Directors' Fortnight (see news).

For his Sanguepazzo [trailer], presented at the Cannes as a Special Event Screening out of competition, Marco Tullio Giordana was given the François Chalais Award, named in honour the French critic and given under the patronage of the Minister of Culture and the CNC in association with France 2. The film is on release in Italy on 160 screens through 01 Distribution (see news).
