The French sales company Memento Films International, which with great regularity places its biggest titles in great festivals across the world, will once more be present during the 67th Cannes Festival (14-25 May). In the line-up are a Palme d’Or contender and two feature length films in the Directors’ Fortnight.

by Turkish maestro Nuri Bilge Ceylan (already awarded in Cannes in 2003, 2008 and 2011), who will be present for the film’s international premiere on Friday, 16 May in the official competition. The film is about a former actor who manages a hotel in central Anatolia together with his wife (with whom he has a turbulent relationship) and his sister (diminished from a recent divorce). As winter and snow arrive, the hotel becomes their refuge, but also a place from which it is difficult to escape. The film’s co-producers are Turkey (Zeynofilm), Germany (Bredok Film Production), and Memento who will distribute it in France starting August 13.
