, with Brendan Gleeson, Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl and Mikael Persbrandt), Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special), Alex Gibney (the documentary Zero Days) and Quebecois director Denis Côté (Boris sans Béatrice, starring such names as Denis Lavant), who already won an award at Berlin two years ago for Vic + Flo Saw a Bear.

The three films announced so far for the Special Screenings are all documentary titles, including the latest opus by Michael Moore (Where To Invade Next), the new film by the director of Twenty Feet from Stardom, Morgan Neville (The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble), and a biographical portrait of author John Berger co-directed by actress and former chair of the Berlin jury Tilda Swinton (The Seasons in Quincy: Four Portraits of John Berger).

For now, North America is hogging the limelight, but the balance between this and the other continents should be re-established as subsequent announcements are made.
