Gaumont to show off Cluzet, Bonnaire, Paradis, and Kruger

Turning Tide stands out among the newcomers in the line-up. The film will be director of photography Christophe Offenstein’s first feature as a director. (He is currently working on Blood Ties by Guillaume Canet after having worked with the director on Whatever You Say, Tell No One [trailer], and Little White Lies [trailer].) The film is to feature François Cluzet (photo - Untouchable [trailer]) as a skipper who suddenly finds himself in charge of a yacht on the Vendée Globe Challenge. In Cannes, Cécile Gaget’s team will also start pre-sales for Sisterly by Anne-Marie Etienne (La sieste sous le figuier - news). The film is maybe to star Vanessa Paradis and Sandrine Bonnaire. In its plot, the former, who has lost the will to live but doesn’t have the strength to end her life, seeks refuge in a convent, and the latter, a nun there, provides her with support and friendship.

And then Gaumont will be launching pre-sales for Les garçons et Guillaume, à table !, a film by and featuring Guillaume Gallienne, and an adaptation of his play. This LGM Cinéma production will also feature German actress Diane Kruger (Farewell, My Queen! [trailer, film focus]), Française Fabian, and Niels Arestrup.

Finally, there will also be the new comedy Vive la France by and featuring Michaël Youn beside José Garcia, a Légende production said to be a cross between Borat and Four Lions.
