Irish films set to make Cannes mark

Eighteen new Irish projects are Cannes bound with a view to international sales, including Neil Jordan’s Ondine (Sales Agent: Paramount Vantage), Ian Fitzgibbon’s Perrier’s Bounty (Hanway Films), André Nebe’s The Race (High Point Media Group) and Conor McPherson’s The Eclipse (Magnolia Pictures).

The Irish Film Board (IFB) run Irish Pavilion will be open from 13-22 May. This year’s events include a Section 481 Panel, an IFB and Culture Ireland reception, a Film Festival Panel, a Sales Agent Panel and an Ireland New Zealand reception.

The Pavilion will have an information desk (staffed by IFB personnel) providing information on Irish companies and delegates, Irish films and co-productions screening during the festival, a bar and terrace serving beverages and light snacks, meeting facilities, messaging service for registered delegates and multiple internet points and wi-fi.
