Wild Bunch out in force at Rendez-vous with French Cinema

Spearheaded by world premières The Blonde with Bare Breasts (see news) by Manuel Pradal and Grégoire Vigneron’s thriller Immaculate (starring Benoît Magimel, see news), French international seller Wild Bunch has unveiled a high-quality line-up for the Rendez-vous with French Cinema event organised in Paris from January 14-18 by Unifrance.

The team headed by Vincent Maraval will showcase a selection of new titles: The Burma Conspiracy which is set to start production; Bertrand Blier’s The Sound of Ice Cubes (see news), which is currently shooting; Xavier BeauvoisOf Gods and Men (see news); Antony Cordier’s Happy Few (see news); Audrey Estrougo’s Leila (see news); and Nicolas Cuche’s Seconde Chance (“Second Chance”).

Wild Bunch will present market screenings of ten other films, including Claire DenisWhite Material [+see also:

The rest of the line-up includes new promo-reels for features in post-production, namely Pierre Salvadori’s Full Treatment (see news); Sam Gabarski’s A Distant Neighbourhood (adapted from a cult Japanese manga book); Jean-Luc Godard’s Socialism; Zhang Yimou’s The Stunning Case of the Three Gunshots (a remake of the Coen brothers’ Blood Simple); and Patrice Pooyard’s documentary The Revelation of the Pyramids.

Finally, Wild Bunch will also present a flurry of upcoming titles, including Ken Loach’s Route Irish, Nanni Moretti’s Habemus Papam (“We Have the Pope”), Michael Winterbottom’s The Killer Inside Me, Peter Mullan’s Neds, The Extra Man by US duo Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, Kim Chapiron’s Dog Pound, Nikita Mikhalkov’s The Exodus - The Fortress, Julio Medem’s Room In Rome, Ola Simonsson and Stjärne Nilsson’s Sound of Noise, Momcilo Mrdakovic’s Mamarosh and Christopher Morris’ UK terrorism-themed comedy Four Lions.
