Just Between Us is a co-production between Croatia’s Mainframe Production, Serbia’s Yodi Movie Craftsman and Slovenia’s Studio Maj. It was supported by Croatian National Television and Eurimages.

Back in 2006, Grlic, one of the most important Yugoslav representatives of the Prague film school (which also includes Emir Kusturica, Goran Markovic, Goran Paskaljevic and Srdjan Karanovic), made Border Post, the first film after the breakdown of Yugoslavia to be co-produced by all the territories of the former country. Border Post had sold over 200,000 admissions in all territories combined.

With Just Between Us, Grlic becomes the only filmmaker in the region whose films open almost day-and-date in all the co-production territories.
