I Am Love, 4321 get UKFC P&A funds

20/04/2010 - The UK Film Council (UKFC) has awarded Metrodome Distribution £110,900 for Luca Guadagnino’s I Am Love [trailer, film focus], to widen distribution to 52 sites and boost publicity and advertising.
The Works UK received £120,000 for Noel Clarke and Mark Davis’ 4321 [trailer], to widen the film's release on June 2 from 200 to 250 sites and go towards publicity and advertising.
Momentum received £12,100 to go towards exit polling for a dubbed English-language version of the Swedish film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo [trailer, film focus] in four cinemas, as part of research to gauge audience response to dubbed films in the UK.
Several smaller awards were made to the distribution of the following films amongst others:
Artificial Eye for Marco Bellocchio's Vincere [trailer, film focus] (£4,697), Todd Solondz’s Life During Wartime (£3,846), Gotz Spielmann's Revanche [trailer, film focus] (£2,812) and Claire Denis' White Material [trailer] (£4,770); Axiom for Peter Greenaway's Nightwatching [trailer] (£5,000) and Pablo Trapero's Lion's Den (£5,000);
Metrodome for Paul Andrew Williams' Cherry Tree Lane (£5,000) and Samuel Maoz's Lebanon [trailer] (£5,000); the BFI Nancy Kissam's Drool and Russell Mulcahy's Prayers for Bobby (£800);
BritFilms Distribution Company for Justin Molotnikov's Crying with Laughter (£5,000); Dogwoof Pictures for Laura Gabbert and Justin Schein's No Impact Man (£5,000), Claudia Llosa's The Milk of Sorrow [trailer] (£5,000), Erik Gandini's Videocracy [trailer] (£5,000) and Leslie Iwerks's Dirty Oil (£5,000); Green Lions for David Bond's Erasing David (£5,000); and Guerilla Films for Jan Dunn's The Calling (£4,800).
