), has celebrated a second major victory at Cannes with the Palme d'Or awarded on Sunday evening to French/German/Spanish/UK/Thai co-production Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives [+see also:

. This is also the company’s second co-production, according to Michael Weber, managing director of The Match Factory and co-producer on the film.

At the Cannes Film Market, Uncle Boonmee was sold to numerous territories including, in Europe, France (Pyramide Distribution), the United Kingdom (New Wave Films), Spain (Karma Films), Italy (BIM Distribuzione), Benelux (Contact Film), Switzerland (Trigon), Austria (Stadtkino Wien), Denmark (Sunrise Distribution), Norway (Arthaus), Sweden (Folkets Bio), The Czech Republic and Slovakia (Artcam), Greece (Ama Films), Poland (AP Mañana), Portugal (Midas Films), Romania (Independenta Films), the former Yugoslavia (MCF Megacom), Russia and the Baltic countries (Artcinema).
