First thriller for Oscar-nominated Christiansen15/06/2010 - After several children and youth films, Christian E. Christiansen will direct his first genre film, the thriller ID:A, starring Swedish actress Tuva Novotny and Denmark’s Flemming Enevold (Flame & Citron [trailer]). The film is produced by Christiansen’s usual production partner, Louise Vesth, for Zentropa.

The prolific director and producer previously collaborated on three features – Life Hits [trailer] (2006), Crying For Love (2008) and Zoomers (2009) – and the 2007 Oscar-nominated short At Night.

In ID:A, scripted by Tine Krull Petersen, a woman wakes up on a beach after having been assaulted. She suffers from amnesia and is being chased by a group of unknown people.

“It’s a classical film noir,” Novotny told Swedish press agency TT Spektra. She added that the film will be shot in Denmark, Germany and France, in Danish and French.

The project was awarded DKK6.5m (approximately €874,000) in production support from the Danish Film Institute. Principal photography will start in August and the delivery date is set for 2011.
