director Menhaj Huda has wrapped principal photography at Pinewood Studios and other London locations for his film Everywhere and Nowhere.

The film is an Asian youth drama described as “8 Mile meets Monsoon Wedding.” It is a coming-of-age story that examines the volatile secrets that lie beneath the surface of a well-off British Asian suburban family. A shocking truth emerges when the younger brother decides to stand up to his headstrong older brother and head of the family in his struggle to follow his true musical passion – blending the soundtracks of classic Bollywood movies with contemporary hip hop.

), Adam Deacon (Kidulthood), Alyy Khan (Pusher) and Simon Webbe (Rollin' With the Nines).

Award-winning composer Nitin Sawhney (The Namesake) is producing the soundtrack. Sam Tromans and Stella Nwimo are producing alongside Huda, who also wrote the script with Gurpreet Bhatti.

Tromans’ Arena Productions and the Stealth Media Group are backing the film and Momentum Pictures have acquired UK rights.

Michael L Cowan, joint CEO of Stealth Media Group, said, “We are extremely excited to be working with director Menhaj Huda and his producers. We believe the film could be both a UK and international hit, and we believe in them and this terrific vision. As a company, part of what we are focusing on in the UK is working with indie British talent. It is also great when you can work with talented friends.”

The film is the first in what are supposed to be several collaborations between Huda and Arena.
