I Phone Y(o)u explores love in Internet age

by

Chinese-born director Dan Tang, who trained at the Konrad Wolf Film School in Potsdam-Babelsberg, is in the last leg of shooting on I Phone Y(o)u. Filming started in July in Berlin and has continued in Chongqing in China.

The film tells the story of Ling, who meets Chinese man Yu in Chongqing. The latter lives in Berlin and has come to China on business. Before he leaves, he gives her an iPhone, and the two characters begin a tender, long-distance relationship.

When Ling finally goes to Berlin to see Yu again, Marco, the latter’s German bodyguard, is determined to ensure she leaves again.
