, which the same year won the Louis Delluc Prize for Best Debut Film and was nominated for three Cesar Awards in 2008, Céline Sciamma (see interview) has now been selected in the Panorama section at the 61st Berlinale (February 10-20, 2011) where her second feature, Tomboy [+see also:

The film, starring Zoé Heran, Malonn Raffin, Jeanne Disson, Sophie Cattani and Mathieu Demy, was produced by Hold Up Films, co-produced by Arte France Cinéma, pre-bought by Canal + and backed by the Ile-de-France region and Sofica Arte Cofinova. It will be launched in France on April 20 by Pyramide Distribution and is sold internationally by Films Distribution.

The Berlinale Panorama will also screen Angelo Cianci’s debut feature Top Floor Left Wing [+see also:

(see news), whose cast includes Hippolyte Girardot, Mohamed Fellag, Aymen Saidi, Judith Henry and Michel Vuillermoz. This social dramatic comedy was produced by France (Tu vas voir and Kasso Inc.) and Luxembourg (Iris Productions) in association with Backup Films.

The film got co-production support from Arte France Cinéma and Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, was backed by Eurimages, and pre-bought by Canal + and Ciné Cinéma. It was released in France on November 17, 2010 by Memento Films, who are also handling international sales.
