There be sales for Joffé’s Dragons

has sold to several key territories, including the UK, through Stealth Media Group, and China, through HIG. Samuel Goldwyn Films recently released There Be Dragons in the US while Aurum Producciones released the co-production between the US and Spain’s Antena 3 in March.

Produced by Ignacio Gómez Sancha, Joffé and Ignacio Núñez, the film is an epic tale of revolutionaries and saints in a time of civil war; a story of love and heroism amid jealousy, hatred and violence; and a heartbreaking drama about the power of forgiveness to break the chains of the past.

Wes Bentley leads the ensemble cast that includes Charlie Cox (Stardust [+see also:

), Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace [+see also:

), Derek Jacobi (Gladiator), Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible II) and Rodrigo Santoro (300).

The film tells the story of London-based investigative journalist Robert Torres (Scott), who tries to unravel a deadly mystery nearly 70 years in the making that links his father (Bentley) to Josemaría Escrivá (Cox), the founder of Opus Dei. However, Robert hits a wall and discovers that the shocking truth is far more than he bargained for.

The following territories have acquired the film: English-speaking South Africa (Okhma), Canada (VVS), India (Tanweer Group), Middle East (Eagle), Philippines (Suraya), Airlines (Entertainment in Motion), Turkey (Ozen), Portugal (Zon-Lusomundo) and Latin America (Tayrona).
