Scripted by the director, the film centres on forty-something Éva, who is allergic to practically everything. Forced to live in total isolation, without contact with her environment for the smallest mistake could prove fatal to her, she has become the subject of a study by a psychological research centre. Having lost her job and her friends, she can no longer count on anyone but her brother Gyuri.

But András, a prominent psychiatrist, treats Éva’s illness and tries to work out if it is psychologically-induced or a real allergy to the pollution of our civilisation. During the treatment, Éva and András become increasingly intimate and Éva’s condition starts to improve. Can András save Éva or has the Earth been irreversibly infected?

Piloted by Els Vandevorst for Dutch company Isabella Films in partnership with Béla Tarr for T.T.Filmmuhely, Eden is expected to have a budget of €2m. At Paris Project, it is looking for French and European co-producers and an international seller.
