The Selection Committee, appointed by Anica is entrusted by the Academy Award with selecting the Italian representative to be in the running for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, of which the final five will be announced on January 4, 2012. The Committee, which will meet on September 28, comprises Nicola Borrelli (Managing Director of Cinema - Ministry for Cultural Goods and Activities), Marco Bellocchio (director), Martha Capello (President of Agpc – Association of young film producers), Francesca Cima (producer), Tilde Corsi (producer), Paola Corvino (President of Unefa – National Union of film and audiovisual exporters), Valerio De Paolis (distributor), Luca Guadagnino (director) e Niccolò Vivarelli (journalist).

Oscars night will take place on February 26, 2012.
