When East Meets West is accepting project submissions until November 25

The deadline closes on November 25, 2011 for submitting projects for the 2012 edition of the co-production forum When East Meets West, which will run from January 19-21, 2012 in Trieste, during the Trieste Film Festival.

In order to be eligible to enter the selection process, the projects must come from one of the 21 countries designated as belonging to Eastern Europe (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine), Italy or the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland) or special guests of this edition (previous guests have included Spain and France).

Moreover, the projects must be feature-length narrative or documentary films in the development phase, with the potential to become co-productions and with at least 20% of their budget already secured.

The selected projects will be presented by their producers to potential co-producers, commissioning editors, sales agents, distributors and film fund representatives.
