Edinburgh plugs into Network

The Edinburgh International Film Festival and story editor Kate Leys have announced the feature projects and filmmaking teams who have been chosen for their new development and mentoring initiative - Network.

Funded by Skillset and Creative Scotland, Network will mentor the following projects:

Writer/director Alex Smith’s adaptation A Boy Named Keith

Screenwriter Ronnie Mackintosh’s thriller Best Evidence

Writer/director Gabriel Robertson’s comedy Don’t Speak; Scream

Producer Lili Sandelin and screenwriter Mandy Lee’s horror comedy Edinburgh Digest

Screenwriter Leigh Campbell and director Lindy Heymann’s dark Victorian adaptation Hammer

Writer/director Hammad Khan’s twisted contemporary Pakistan-set fairy tale The Silent Succession Of Qasim Ali

Producer Wendy Griffin and writer/director Hannah Robinson’s story of sisters, family and electricity, Tesla Girl

Producer Nicola Clayton and screenwriter Mahalia Rimmer’s Michel Faber adaptation The Fahrenheit Twins

Filmmaker Sam Firth’s documentary filmed as fiction The Story Of Me And You

Network runs until June 2012 and all participants will be part of the 66th Edinburgh International Film Festival that runs from June 20 – July 1, 2012.
