The four films are also the main competitors for the Danish Film Academy's Robert awards, which will be announced on February 5 - here, A Family leads with 16 nominations, against A Funny Man's 14, Melancholia's 13 and Superclásico's 10.

For the first time, five documentaries have been selected: "The Bodil committee wanted to acknowledge the large number of Danish quality documentaries which was released last year," explained Have Kommunikation Project Manager Kristina ZR Sindberg.

Melancholia was Saturday (January 7) named Best Feature by the National Society of Film Critics, the US association of 58 reviewers for leading newspapers and magazines including Time, Newsweek and The New Yorker. The film’s Kirsten Dunst took her third kudo for Best Actress after winning at Cannes and the European Film Awards.
