Salaviza takes two new shorts to Rotterdam and Berlin

20/01/2012 - Young director João Salaviza (pictured) will take part in the Rotterdam and Berlin film festivals with two different short films.

The Spectrum Shorts section at Rotterdam will show Cerro Negro, made as part of the Gulbenkian Next Future programme, while Rafa, whose screenplay was presented last year at the Premiers Plans Festival in Angers, will compete at Berlin.

Both shorts are produced by Filmes do Tejo, which previously produced the short Arena, which earned Salaviza the Palme d’Or for Best Short Film in 2009.
