The jury will also include Canadian actress Arsinée Khanjian, Brasilian director Karim Aïnouz, French writer and filmmaker Emmanuel Carrère, and Chinese director and director of photography Yu Lik-Wai.

Previous editions of Cannes’ short film competition have revealed the talent of directors like Jane Campion, Lynne Ramsay, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Xavier Giannoli, and Catalin Mitulescu, while the Cinéfondation Selection has previously screened film school projects by Kornél Mundruczo, Corneliu Porumboiu, and Jessica Hausner.
