Italian cinema in Tokyo

27/04/2012 - The screening of Emanuele Crialese's Terraferma [trailer, film focus] will open the 12th edition of Tokyo's Italian Film Festival on April 28.
Asahi Shimbun and the Italian Cultural Institute have selected eleven titles, predominantly first and second features, amongst which Andrea Molaioli's Il gioiellino [trailer], Alice Rohrwacher's Corpo celeste [trailer, film focus] (photo) and Gianni di Gregorio's The Salt of Life [trailer, film focus], as well as a section dedicated to previews of films which be released in Japan over the coming months, such as Nanni Moretti's We Have a Pope [trailer, film focus] and Andrea Segre's I am Li [trailer, film focus].
As usual, the Italian Cultural Institute will host the festival preview today, April 27, with the screening of Francesco Bruni's film Scialla!, attended by the director and by the artistic delegation, along with the President of the Istituto Luce Cinecittà, Rodrigo Cipriani.
The festival's other guests include Anita Caprioli, Ivan Cotroneo, Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, Daniele Gaglianone, Lucio Pellegrini Filippo Pucillo, Paola Randi, Andrea Segre and Peppe Servillo.
