14th Festival of German Films opens in Madrid

The 14th edition of the Festival of German Films in Madrid is starting today (June 5). Until June 9, the Cine palafox will feature ten new feature films, four shorts, and the traditionnal Next Generation Short Tiger programme.

The opening film, Christian Schwochow's Cracks in the Shell [+see also:

, will screen in the presence of the director and his actress Dagmar Manzel.

, Marcus O. Rosenmüller's Wunderkinder, the children's film The Famous Five by Mike Marzuk, the documentary Khodorkovsky by Cyril Tuschi and the TV movie Father Mother Murderer by Niki Stei. David Wnendt and Marcus O. Rosenmüller will attend Q&As after the screeening of their films.

The Spanish premiere of Andreas Dresen's Stopped on Track [+see also:

will be celebrated during the festival as a special event on June 6. Moreover, in collaboration with the Goethe Institut in Madrid, a retrospective of Dresen's work is to be shown comprising Grill Point [+see also:
