Students hunt down the scoop in La vraie vie des profs
by Fabien Lemercier
03/08/2012 - Shooting is almost over in Marseille for La vraie vie des profs (lit. “The real life of teachers”), Emmanuel Klotz and Albert Pereira-Lazaro (photo)’s second feature after their animation film Round Da Way [trailer] that featured at the Cannes Critics’ Week in 2009. The duo have switched to fiction this time, plunging their audience into a secondary school where five teenagers cause mayhem by publishing their teachers’ secrets online. Besides the young actors, the cast is to include Audrey Fleurot (The Intouchables [trailer]), Lucien Jean-Baptiste (Meet the Elisabethz [trailer], Possessions [trailer]), and David Faure.
In the film’s screenplay, written by Alexandre Jardin and Emmanuel Klotz, students in second year of secondary school decide to spy on their teachers to uncover spicy “people” stories to re-boost interest in their ailing school paper. This new editorial line leads to unexpected online revelations, scoops, and coming-outs. There will be consequences for both teachers and students...
