Kasia Smutniak godmother of the 69th Venice Film Festival

25/07/2012 - Actress Kasia Smutniak will be the godmother of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 69th Venice International Film Festival (from the 29th of August to the 8th of September 2012).
Polish by birth but Italian by adoption, Kasia Smutniak is one of the new faces of Italian cinema and beyond, recognized in 2008 for her role in the film Nelle tue mani by Peter Del Monte with a European Silver Ribbon and a Golden Globe. In 2010 she played alongside John Travolta in From Paris with love [trailer] produced by Luc Besson and directed by Pierre Morel. In Italy she was cast in Scontro di civiltà per un ascensore a Piazza Vittorio [trailer] by Isotta Tosa and was the only female protagnist of Tutta Colpa Di Giuda [trailer] by Davide Ferrario. The following year she became the female protagonist of the controversial German film The Fourth State [trailer] by Denis Gansel. In 2012 she returns to the big screen in Italy in Rolando Ravello’s debut film Tutti contro tutti, which is currently in production.
