Pinocchio by Enzo d'Alò opens the Venice Days

30/07/2012 - It will be an animation film that will open Carlo Colludi's 2012 Venice Days. Designed together with Lorenzo Mattoti with music by Lucio Dalla, the famous Italian singer who passed away last March. "To open with an animation film seemed like the best way to give the fantastical tone to the festival that we wanted to be young, courageous, fun and different," says Giorgio Gosetti, the director of the Venice days.

Produced by Cometafilm Iris Productions, Walking the Dog, 2D-3D Animation, between Italy, France, Belgium and Luxembourg, distributed in Italy since Christmas by Lucky Red and sold around the world by Rezo Films. Enzo d'Alò's (director of Lucky and Zorba Silver Ribbon in 1999) Pinocchio [trailer, film focus] has the voices of the young Gabriele Caprio (Pinocchio), Rocco Papaleo (Mangiafuoco), Paolo Ruffini (Candlewick), Maurizio Micheli (the cat), Pino Quartullo (a policeman) and the singer Dalla (the green fisherman).
