Goddammit!: Systad Jacobsen’s first feature wins for Best Film in Norway

20/08/2012 - Norwegian features from Oslo-based production company Motlys AS, headed by Norwegian producer Sigve Endresen, received six Amandas – Norway’s national film prizes – at the awards ceremony on Friday (August 17) prior to the Norwegian International Film Festival at Haugesund’s Festiviteten Hall.

Two were awarded for Jannicke Systad Jacobsen’s Turn Me On, Goddammit! [trailer], which won for Best Feature (and Best Cinematography), two for Joachim Trier’s Oslo, August 31st [trailer, film focus] (Best Director, Best Editing), and two for Arild Andresen’s The Orheim Company [trailer] (Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress).

Pål Sletaune’s psychological thriller, Babycall [trailer], which had nominations for nine Amandas, cashed in on four, including Best Actress – Sweden’s Noomi Rapace, who plays an over-protective mother, whose babycall is activated from other apartments in the block, and one day she overhears what she thinks is the murder of a child.
