German films in Buenos Aires

- German Films is currently organising the 12th edition of the German Film Festival in the Argentinian capital

The 12th German Film Festival / Festival de Cine Alemán (September, 13-19) is currently on in Buenos Aires. German Films is collaborating with various partners to present a selection of new German films to the Argentinian audience as well as distributors and the media.

The festival is also presenting: the short film programme Next Generation 2012; a special screening of the German-Argentinian co-production The German Friend by Jeanine Meerapfel (Malena Filmproduktion, Geißendörfer Film), in cooperation with the Argentinian distributor Primer Plano Film Group (ahead of its Argentinian October release); the screening of Friedrich Zelnik's Die Weber (1927) with accompanying live music.
