, is to direct Soulémane Démé, Mariam Monory, Cyril Guei, and Marius Yelolo in his new film.

Written by the director, the screenplay is centred on Grigris, 25, who dreams of becoming a dancer although his paralysed leg should exclude him from everything. It's quite a challenge. But his dreams are shattered when his uncle falls seriously ill. To save him, he decides to work for petrol smugglers...

Produced by Florence Stern for Pili Films, Grisgris is to be co-produced by Chadian outfit Goï Goï Productions and France 3 Cinéma. Beside pre-acquisitions by Canal+, Ciné+, TV5 Monde, and Canal Horizons, the film has also received an advance on receipts from the French National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNC), and is to be supported by the ACP-UE Programme (ACP Films II) and Sofica Soficinéma. Les Films du Losangeis to handle the film's distribution in France and international sales.
