In Snow White, Berger adapts the Brothers Grimm's timeless tale to the bullfighting scene of 1920s Spain. This visually powerful film full of incredibly beautiful images is a homage to silent European melodramas.

The cast is led by Maribel Verdú, Macarena García, Daniel Giménez Cacho, Ángela Molina, andPere Ponce. After its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, the film has screened in the official selection at San Sebastian. Tomorrow, Friday, September 28, it will be released in Spanish cinemas by Wanda Visión, and will no doubt do well at the box office thanks to its nomination.

Snow White is a Spanish majority co-production (80%) with France (20%) by Ibon Cormenzana and Pablo Berger for Arcadia Motion Pictures, with Jérôme Vidal (Noodles Production) and three economic interest groups (Nix Films, Sisifo Films, and The Kraken). Other participants include TVE, Canal +, Televisió de Catalunya, and Arte France Cinéma. Madrid-based Dreamcatchers is handling the film's international sales.
