G.H.B. is also the first feature film to be produced by musician and composer Mirwais Ahmadzai. Born in Switzerland to an Afghan father and an Italian mother, Mirwais was a founding member of the band Taxi Girl in Paris in 1977-1978. He then became famous worldwide in 2000 by releasing his techno album Production and by producing over half of the tracks for Madonna’s album Music. (He worked again with her for her albums American Life and Confessions on a Dance Floor). For cinema, he composed the music for Maïwenn’s Forgive Me [+see also:

Produced by Mirwais Ahmadzai for 50.50 Productions with Marielle Duigou and Léonard Glowinski as associate producers, G.H.B. is notably co-produced by Hérodiade and supported by an advance on receipts from the National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNC). Shooting is set to last 27 days until November 17 in Paris, La Clusaz, Marseille, New York, and Shanghai. Negotiations are ongoing for the film’s French distribution and international sales.
