Strasbourg to host GENERATOR: Youth Audiovisual Forum

- Dynamic association Nisi Masa to hold a forum in Strasbourg during which 120 young Europeans are to share their experience of audiovisual tools

From January 25 to 27, 2013, Generator: Youth Audiovisual Forum will be held in Strasbourg by the Nisi Masa association. For three days, over 120 young Europeans are to attend different activities and meetings to facilitate the exchange of ideas and to learn about good practices and tools used in the audiovisual field.

The programme is to include a series of workshops, screenings, seminars, and round tables organised by the Nisi Masa association, during which each participant will have the opportunity to pitch their project, whatever it is, as long as it remains relevant to the activities of the association’s members.

During the forum, a panel on transmedia is to bring together Alain Bieber (director of  ARTE Creative), Domenico La Porta (Cineuropa editor-in-chief as well as transmedia screenwriter and producer), as well as representatives from the InVitr0 project. Another panel is to feature representatives of the MEDIA programme, the European Youth Forum, and the Council of Europe to discuss the future of audiovisual funding for youth. Crowdfunding and crowdsourcing are also to be discussed.

The event is to be completed by a seminar on the sale and distribution of short films, a 48-hour scriptwriting marathon, a workshop on film journalism, and another on genre films to discuss how to successfully make a horror film. Representatives from the Encounters Short Film Festival, Ad Arte, and Eventival are also to hold a seminar on cultural management.

Finally, as part of the kino kabaret workshop, 40 participants are to shoot short films around Strasbourg that are then to be screened at the end of the forum.
