Child's Pose purchased in several territories

became the most sought-after film in the festival's competition. Represented by Beta Cinema, the film will be released in France by Sophie Dulac Distribution, in Italy by Teodora and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by X-Verleih.

Contact Film will release Child's Pose in Benelux, Seven Films in Greece, Discovery Film in Serbia, and Video Distribution in Montenegro. Outside Europe, the Romanian drama will go to Australia and New Zealand, where it is released by Palace Film, and in Taiwan (Swallow Wings). According to Beta Cinema, final negotiations all over the world are under way, including the United States and Great Britain.

As for now, the film's success at the Berlinale is reason for great celebration in Romania. Child's Pose will be domestically released on March 8. Producer and distributor Parada Film has been organizing an ellaborate marketing campaign for the film's presence in the Berlinale competition and now takes advantage of the enthusiasm caused by its success among Romanian cinemagoers.

Contacted by Cineuropa, Calin Peter Netzer said that 100,000 admissions in Romania would make him consider Child's Pose a true domestic hit. This number would also make the film the most popular domestic release of the last decade.
