Fandango will continue its production activity normally and will keep an average of four to five films a year, Procacci confirmed. The company is currently working with Nanni Moretti’s next project. “On this front, there will be no reduction, but for distribution the situation is different: we work with products that are receiving little attention at the moment. The general situation in the field, including for distribution, has become complicated.”

Procacci hopes things will change. “This might happen if there is a political will, a sense of responsibility which sets out to enforce norms that are already in place. A first positive step would be the enforcement of the law on Italian and European films’ diffusion on television channels.”
