One click to choose past decade’s best film

- For their tenth anniversary, the Venice Days are launching an online contest geared at film buffs

With over 100 films in the official selection, the Venice Days have brought some of world’s best independent cinema to the city over the past nine years. This year, the prestigious autonomous section, taking place within the context of the Venice Film Festival (28 August-7 September), will turn ten and will invite film buffs to vote for the best Venice Days film from the last decade.

Cinema buffs from around the world will be able to choose their favourite film from the 50 titles selected by the Venice Days expert committee with a simple click and a like. Voting can be done for up to five films, with the decade’s best film to be selected among the ten most clicked ones and celebrated during this year’s event. Voting will start today, July 15, and will come to a close on August 20.

In order to vote, visit www.venice-days.com or go the Venice Days Facebook page. The 2013 programme will be announced on Tuesday, July 23.
