film profile] may end it at the Oscar gala: a national jury of film professionals, film festival organizers and film journalists selected the Golden Bear winner as Romania's entry in the Best Foreign Film category of next year's Oscars.

Produced and domestically released by Parada Film, the family drama proved that there is still hope for national films in Romania: promoted by an extensive media campaign after its Berlinale success, Child's Pose became the most successful Romanian release of the last decade, with more than 100,000 admissions. Netzer's film surpassed other prominent award winners in recent history, such as Palme d'Or winner 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days [+see also:
