Eurimages supports 20 co-productions

At its 132nd meeting held from 15 to 17 October 2013 in Vilnius, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund agreed to support 20 projects of feature films, animations and documentaries for a total amount of 6,100,000 Euros.

Moreover, in the framework of the distribution support programme (scheme I), the Board, after examining the non-national European films distributed during the first six months of 2013, decided to grant approximately €135,800 to 8 distributors for 32 films distributed in the following 6 countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, “The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Hungary, Poland, Serbia and Turkey.

In the framework of scheme II of this same programme, aiming to raise public awareness to European cinema, the Board granted its support in principle to 4 innovative projects for a total amount of €136,418.

EURIMAGES is a support fund for cinema co-production, theatrical distribution, exhibition and digital equipment for cinema theatres established by the Council of Europe in 1988 (http://www.coe.int/Eurimages).

Since it was set up in 1988, EURIMAGES has supported 1542 European co-productions for a total amount of approximately 468 million euros.
