Nice move for Versatile, the French international sales company created less than a month ago by Violaine Pichon (ex Celluloid Dreams) and Pape Boye (ex Funny Balloons). Their line-up indeed includes Blind [+see also:

, the first feature as a director by Eskil Vogt, the co-screenwriter of Joachim Trier for Reprise and Oslo 31 August [+see also:

. Written by the neo-filmmaker, the screenplay focuses on a woman (played by Ellen Dorris Petersen) who just recently lost her sight. Produced by Norwegian outfit Motlys and coproduced by Dutch company Lemming Film, the film will have its world premiere next Friday at Sundance (from January 16 to 24, 2014), in the World Cinema Dramatic section.

Versatile’s line-up also includes Hélène Zimmer’s first feature: Being 14 (read the article). Currently in post-production, this Films du Lendemain production will be distributed in France by Ad Vitam.

Amongst the other titles sold by Versatile, we find in post-production the American film Nasty Baby by Sebastian Silva and two projects: the romantic French drama Satisfactions by Robert Cantarella with Catherine Deneuve and Harvey Keitel in the cast (managed in production by Les Films d'Ici with Haut et Court already committed to the French distribution) and American horror title Abattoir by Darren Lynn Bousman.
