Final 8 days to take part in the Paris Coproduction Village

To encourage European cinema industry professionals to get involved in international co-productions: this is the aim of the first edition of the Paris Coproduction Village, which will take place on June 12 and 13, 2014 in the French capital. Promoted by the European Film Festival of Les Arcs (which has proven its efficiency and savoir-faire over five years of growing success) and the Champs-Elysées Festival (3rd edition on 11-17 June), the event will present a selection of 12 to 15 feature length international projects (destined for French and European co-production) to local producers, vendors, distributors, financiers and representatives of regional funds.

The programme of this project development and financing platform includes meetings with individuals, networking events and animated seminars by major film actors.

Candidate projects (fiction, animation and documentary) will have to already have a director and a screenplay and be presented by a production company with a guaranteed source of financing (or in talks) from the country of origin. Worth noting that those projects which already have a French partner are not eligible.

The first Paris Coproduction Village selection list will be enriched by the presence of the six residents of the Cinéfondation of the Cannes Film Festival,  which is the event’s partner with, among others, the Ile-de-France region, ACE, Producers Network, EAVE, Europa International and Europa Distribution.
