Since January 2014 the Jerusalem International Film Lab embarked upon a worldwide hunt for writer-directors whose shorts or first full-length film had generated international attention, and who were currently in the process of developing a new full-length feature. The team of scouts led by Matthieu Darras and Isabelle Fauvel, included prominent film professionals and top film school directors from across the globe that identified over 100 outstanding candidates for the Lab. A parallel effort took place in Israel, spearheaded by film school directors, producers and film fund directors.
