The president of the Rome Film Foundation, Paolo Ferrari, today announced his resignation at the board of founders. Ferrari has chaired the last three editions of the Rome International Film Festival, having been in the post since March 2012.

“They have been some very intense and complicated years, but they have also been brimming with fulfilment,” president Ferrari declared in a memo. “The Rome Film Festival, which represents our greatest productive and economic efforts, has recorded some impressive figures, demonstrating constant growth.

“I am resigning,” Ferrari explained, “because I feel I have respected my commitments: those of lending more stability to the framework, safeguarding sound economic management, contributing new ideas, and consolidating the activities of the Foundation and the festival.”
