As usual, five selected projects teams will engage over the 4 working days in individual mentoring sessions with seasoned professionals from different fields of the documentary filmmaking world focused on in-depth analysis of their material in the rough cut stage. Further expert and pier feedback is delivered in a series of intensive group sessions set in a friendly and secure environment. Finally, projects compete for five cash and in-kind post-production awards including additional visibility for one of the projects gained through presentation at the CineLink Work in Progress section. As a follow up, all five projects receive one-year mentoring including 3 online sessions and 1 personal meeting at a convenient festival/market within 12 months from the workshop.

Since its first edition in 2011, a total of 20 projects took part in the programme out of which over 90% have been released, many of which to a wide international acclaim. Those released over the past 12 months alone, already won over 20 awards at key festivals worldwide, proving the idea behind the Sarajevo Film Festival and Balkan Documentary Center’s Docu Rough Cut Boutique working successfully.
