The film has enjoyed the support of Ffilm Cymru Wales from its early development through to production funding. It is co-financed by Altara and the Welsh government, with international sales through Content Media. The film has also received support through the new Pinewood Wales production fund.

Ffilm’s head of creative sector development, Hannah Thomas, says, “It’s great to see Red and Black Films, which received one of our first ever Company Support Awards and whose Ffilm Cymru Wales-backed The Machine has recently been picked up for TV adaptation by the US SyFy Channel, really making its mark. It’s gratifying to see a Welsh company thrive and develop strategic partnerships in Wales and beyond, and we wish them every continued success as they enter production on Don’t Knock Twice.”

Ffilm Cymru Wales has a remit to help to develop the film sector in Wales and maximise the economic, educational and cultural benefits of film. It supports Welsh or Wales-based writers, directors and producers with development and production funding, industry assistance and mentoring opportunities.
