Eight Romanian films to be released domestically over the next few months

Eight new domestic features will meet Romanian cinemagoers during the next few months. Previously the busiest season in terms of Romanian films (15 releases in 2013 and more than ten in 2014), autumn has lost some of its appeal with distributors: they have gradually started to release their films in spring, as was the case this year with Tudor Giurgiu’s Why Me? [+see also:

on 25 September, after a world premiere at Rotterdam. On 23 October, Nicolae Constantin Tănase’s The World Is Mine [+see also:

will start showing; the title won the Best First Feature Award at Transilvania IFF in June, followed by a Special Mention in the East of the West competition at Karlovy Vary. Finally, Andrei Cohn will release his family drama Back Home [+see also:

, after a world premiere in the Sarajevo IFF competition.

The season kicks off with Radu Muntean’s quiet psychological thriller One Floor Below [+see also:
