The screenplay, written by Emmanuelle Cuau (who co-penned Secret Defense by Jacques Rivette), Raphaëlle Valbrune-Desplechin (nominated for the César Award for Best Screenplay in 2011 for On Tour) and Eric Barbier, revolves around Nathalie, a single mother with two children, who loses her job. In order not to worry her kids, she hides the news from them. From that moment on, a downward spiral of lies will take hold – a dangerous, slippery slope...

Produced by Julie Salvador for Christmas in July, Pris de court is being supported by the CNC’s advance on receipts and the Cineventure Sofica. The shoot will take place in Paris and in the Paris region. Distribution in France will be handled by Ad Vitam, while international sales are still under negotiation.
