On the other hand, Maha Haj will screen Personal Affairs, about an elderly couple that goes through the motions of a jaded existence; not even the idea of the upcoming visit by their son Hicham, who emigrated to Sweden years earlier, can distract them. On the other side of the border, in Ramallah, Samar is expecting a baby and takes care of the future child’s grandmother, while her brother Tarek has no intention of becoming engaged to Maysa, a friend of Samar, whose husband, a mechanic, is offered a part in an American movie. The film, produced by Majdal Films, is sold internationally by Films Boutique.
