The screenplay, written by Leinemann himself, follows this character, an old school agent, as he grapples with an international plot that starts with an American drone strike in Zahiristan and thickens when a journalist is killed just a few days later in Germany in a terrorist attack on a restaurant in Munich – an attack which is claimed in a video as a form of retaliation. Between the armed forces, big consortiums, arms traders and NGOs, Martin slowly but surely starts to see that it’s hard to separate good from evil.

by Sam Garbarski), Claudia Michelsen, Axel Prahl, Katharina Lorenz and August Zirner. The director of photography is Christian Stangassinger, the usual partner in crime of Leinemann (including on his recent television series Tempel).

Filming, which should last up until 29 May, will take place in Munich, Leipzig and the Canary Islands. The project is being supported by the FFF Bayern and the MDM-Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung Fund.
